Meet the Staff at Knox
Rev. Don McCallum, Minister
(Rev.) Don McCallum grew up in King City and Aurora, Ontario. After attending Tyndale and Knox seminaries in Toronto, he was ordained in 1981 and served churches in Elgin Country (Largie-Crinan), Oxford County (Innerkip-Ratho) and Guelph before coming to Knox, Listowel in 2009.
Pam Coleman, Office Administrator
It has been my pleasure to have been the Treasurer of Knox Presbyterian Church since February 2004. It was in December 2010 that I added ‘Secretary’ to that role, to become the Office Administrator.
I was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario and moved to Listowel in 1998 after living in the Clinton/Seaforth and St. Marys areas.
My most important role is being mom to my 6 children, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law and Nanny to my granddaughter. I have recently become a ‘dog person’ with the addition of three Golden Retriever grandpuppies and I enjoy cooking for my family and reading in my spare time.
Agnes-Marie Henderson, Director of Music, Knox Church
Agnes-Marie Henderson has been the Director of Music at Knox since 2003, where she oversees all aspects of the music ministry: choosing music; rehearsing and directing the choir and praise team; and playing the organ or piano.
Agnes received her A.R.C.T. in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) in 1991. She teaches all levels of piano and theory privately, and operates a small recording studio based out of her home. Born and raised in Listowel, Agnes has three grown children. Her hobbies include anything crafty or creative. More information on Agnes’s music can be found on her website at aampmusic.ca
Deanne Deelstra, Sunday School Superintendent
Deanne is a long time native of North Perth. She left the area to attend University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts honors Physical Education degree along with a Bachelor of Education.
In 1996 she married her husband Tim and transferred her membership to Knox Church. She has taught Sunday school for over 17 years and has taken on the role of Sunday school superintendent and VBS Director for the past 7.
Deanne and Tim have two boys and reside in Gowanstown.
Eleanor Petrie, Librarian
Eleanor Petrie graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and pursued a teaching career with The Waterloo County Board of Education. She enjoyed being a classroom teacher, consultant and taught additional Qualification Courses at the Ministry and University Levels.
In 1993, Eleanor became librarian of MacDonald Memorial Library.
Retirement has offered many opportunities to volunteer and enjoy life.
